This is the third and final installment designed to create customer loyalty.  The two previous articles discussed the importance of making a good impression, how to look at your company objectively, and how to take your existing clients and turn them into ambassadors for your business.  The final key ingredient to creating customer loyalty is to hold a Client Advisory Board (CAB).

What is a CAB?

The CAB is specifically designed to help you uncover how your best clients think about your company and your services.  Your role is to choose 8 to 10 of your best clients, and they answer candidly on a variety of topics.  The CAB is facilitated by professionals from our office.  Please note as the business owner(s) you would not be present for the CAB, but all Client Advisory Board meetings are recorded.

What is the purpose of the CAB?

The purpose of the CAB is to take an in-depth look at your company and find ways to make positive improvements that most greatly affect your business.

This is like a "Suggestion Box" on steroids.  It is imperative to have a deep understanding of why your clients do business with you because the goal is to find more clients that have similar traits to your best clients.  If you understand how they think, you are well on your way to create services tailored to meet their needs.

In your Client Advisory Board, you would uncover vital answers to the following:

  • How is your business perceived?
  • How well are you serving your existing clients?
  • What do you excel in?
  • What areas need improvement?
