Richard "Phil" Philbrook

rphilbrook@inconcertfinancialgroup.com
Operations Manager

Phil joined us in 2009 as our Client Relationship Manager. His primary role is to ensure that ICFG continues to provide exceptional client service and support in all practice areas. This includes keeping on top of the latest market and industry trends, working with clients to maximize the value of our services to them and identifying any unmet needs. Expect a check-in call from him at least once during the year.

Phil served in the Air Force during the 1970's, both overseas and domestically. He was an air combat crewman and finished his service at the famous Air Force Survival School at Fairchild Air Force Base. Following his enlistment, Phil decided to follow in his father's footsteps and enter the manufacturing industry. During his 25 year stint, Phil held various leadership rolesincluding Production Manager, Client Service Manager, Shop Steward, Training Manager and Sales Manager. Industry experience includes food processing, tools and plastics, lumber and textiles. He has specific experience in labor management and contract negotiations, having served on both sides of the aisle.

Phil earned his Bachelor's degree in Organizational Behavior from the University of San Francisco in 1993, and worked for Watson Wyatt consulting as an organizational strategist and human resources analyst before moving back to the manufacturing field in a Customer Service and Sales role. Prior to joining ICFG, he served as Western Regional Operations Manager for a large, multi-national manufacturing and distribution company.

Phil's primary reason for joining ICFG was his appreciation of the company's holistic approach to client service. “The way ICFG treats clients like family is right up my alley,” says Phil “And their strategy of having all financial services a client might need throughout their life under one umbrella is truly a unique and client-focused concept.”

As a “people person,” Phil is looking forward to talking with and/or meeting all of our current and prospective clients and helping ICFG meet their needs and exceed their expectations.

When he's not meeting new people, Phil is a sports nut. If not watching, he's playing: Soccer, Baseball, Basketball, Sailing, etc., and can even roll a mean game of Bocce every Friday night in Martinez , where he resides with his wife and two children.

Phil is also an avid food and beverage fan. He enjoys cooking for family and friends and concocts what he considers to be the perfect Martini.
